Sheep scab survey - introduction

Thank you very much for participating in this survey. We really appreciate the time and effort that you will put in to completing it.

The survey aims to understand opinions, experiences and decisions made by British farmers when managing sheep scab in their flocks. We want to gain insights from your opinions and experiences to benefit the wider sheep industry by developing best practice guidance for sheep scab control in the future.

There are no right or wrong answers and all information you share is confidential. The survey will not put you or your farm at risk.

The information collected from this survey will be used within a PhD project at the University of Nottingham, which has been funded by the Veterinary Medicines Directorate, which is an executive agency, sponsored by the Department For Environment, Food & Rural Affairs.

Participation in this survey is voluntary and all responses are anonymous. We invite all sheep farmers in England, Scotland, and Wales to take part, whether or not they have experienced sheep scab in their flock before.

As a thank you for your participation, there is the opportunity to be entered into a draw to win one of three chances of a gift:

1st gift: Apple iPad

2nd gift: £100 voucher

3rd gift: £100 voucher

The survey is also available in Welsh and/or in large print, by contacting Alice Smith (PhD student) via alice.smith2@nottingham.ac.uk
